University of Missouri-Columbia invites anyone with a passion for education and a will to make a difference to investigate charter school opportunities. There is information in the “What We Do” section of this site and links to more detailed information about charter schools and groups that can support your desire to develop a high quality public charter school.
MU invites applicants annually, by considering a prospectus, and inviting qualified applicants to apply. Information about the Application Process may be downloaded here and questions may be directed to Gerry Kettenbach (314.400.8166, or kettenbachg@missouri.edu).
Applicants will be notified with in 14 days if a prospectus passes the initial review and interviews will be scheduled, constituting the second round of review. Once an organization receives an invitation to apply, the final application will be prepared for submission to the State Board of Education. The final Application Package can be downloaded here.
